TRI launches membership drive

The Tile Roofing Institute (TRI), the leading authority on concrete and clay tile roof systems, has launched a national membership recruitment campaign.

The campaign is designed, in part, to attract new members to TRI's annual membership conference, which will be at the Sheraton World Resort in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 11-12. The campaign includes special discounts for associate members and a charter membership program for roofing contractors.

TRI manufacturer members produce 95 percent of the tile roofing installed in North America, and actively work with research and testing organizations and local code bodies to improve the quality, durability and affordability of tile roof systems.

Serving as the leading technical resource and marketing partner to its members, TRI offers several benefits to those in the tile roofing and construction industry.

Member services include educational conferences and seminars, installation guidelines, technical advice, market research, networking and lead generation. In addition to tile roofing manufacturers (producers), TRI has expanded its member base to include associate membership categories for importers, suppliers, distributors, contractors and those with a general interest in tile roofing.

"Our recruitment campaign is not only designed to broaden our membership, but it will also help strengthen our presence in the tile roofing industry, and the value and services we provide to our members," says Charles McGrath, managing director for TRI.

"We've added a new Find-A-Contractor lead generation system, for example, to attract contractors. Our contractor members will be included in the database, which will be available online to consumers."

TRI's Membership Conference, which immediately precedes the International Builders' Show in Orlando, will cover a variety of educational topics to appeal to all industry members. Conference topics include jobsite safety and emergency planning, regional issues in Florida, high-wind installation, industry forecasts and product showcases.

Registration for TRI's Membership Conference is $249 for members and $299 for nonmembers before Dec. 21. Fees will increase to $299 for members and $349 for nonmembers after Dec. 21. For additional information about TRI's membership programs, and to download a registration form and schedule of events for the conference, visit www.tileroofing.org.

Since 1971, the TRI has provided technical expertise on tile roofing systems and installation to roofing professionals and other building industry constituents. TRI is a non-profit trade association and membership is open to all those involved in the production, distribution and installation of clay and concrete tile roof systems.
